Born in Mexico City. Has exhibited internationally since 1986. Currently lives and works in New York City, Venezuela and Mexico. Has received several awards by the Institute of Bellas Artes in México for her drawings, photographs, and children's rehabilitation toys. In 1999 was the recipient of a 6 year artist grant from the Fund for Culture and Arts of Mexico. Her work is included in various collections private and public, among them the Metropolitan Museum of Art New York, the Museo de Arte Moderno Mexico City, and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart, Germany. Since 1992 has worked primarily in the social realm, and has initiated projects in the Amazon of Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Norway and the USA. Among these projects is her collaboration with Moko Jumbies stiltwalkers. This project has been presented at various museums, public schools and avenues, among them The Museum of Modern Art Fort Worth Texas and New York, 24th Street in Chelsea, Brooklyn, New York and Oaxaca, México.
Nació en México D.F., actualmente vive y trabaja en Nueva York, México y Venezuela. Desde 1987 ha expuesto a nivel internacional. Su obra ha recibido varios premios otorgados por el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes. De 1999 a 2005 fue Miembro del Sistema Nacional para Creadores, Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, CONACULTA, México. Su trabajo forma parte de colecciones privadas y públicas, entre ellas el Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, el Museo de Arte Moderno, México D.F. y Landesbak Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart, Alemania entre otros. Desde 1992 trabaja principalmente en el ámbito social y público y ha iniciado proyectos multidisciplinarios en México, el Amazonas de Venezuela, Trinidad y Tobago, Noruega y Estados Unidos. Entre estos proyectos se encuentra su trabajo con zanqueros Moko Jumbies el cual ha sido presentado en museos, avenidas y escuelas públicas, entre los cuales se encuentran The Museum of Modern Art, Fort Worth Texas y New York, la calle 24 en Chelsea, Brooklyn, Nueva York y Oaxaca, México .
